 Parents Area : Our Aims

To encourage and enable every child to reach his or her potential in a caring and supportive environment.

To stimulate an interest and enthusiasm in all areas of the curriculum and thus develop the ability to question, predict, investigate and solve problems.

To encourage a curiosity about life in the world around us, and to develop a fluent and neat style of writing and acquire accuracy and confidence in the basic standard of spelling, grammar and punctuation.

To understand the logical structure of mathematics and its applications in our environment.  This must be accompanied by a sound knowledge and skill in computational work and specific concepts.

To appreciate the ecological aspects of our environment and the influences upon it of science, history and geography.

To develop their interest, creativity, appreciation and skill in music, P.E., art, and drama, thus fulfilling many of the aims of character development, self-discipline, motivation and success, self-expression, sensitivity and respect for others.

To develop a sense of personal responsibility based on respect for each other, property, the community and the environment.

To develop an awareness of religious faith and its place, importance and influence in the world, thus creating a base for future personal decisions.

To enable children to develop within a Christian framework while respecting the beliefs and customs of other faiths.
